Joint water tank
installation and familiarisation
MT Forbes and
Mutdapilly
The first tank in a series
of 6 was declared operational for the Brigades in the Ipswich Group Area.
This was made possible with a donation from Mayor Paul Pisasale and Councillor
David Pahlke of Ipswich City Council.
More will follow in other
Brigade areas to assist local brigade with a supply of water for fire
fighting. The water is non potable and the tanks will be serviced by the
Ipswich Group Water Tanker and Mt Forbes Water Tanker.
The camlocks are guarded
with a lock and Brigade and Urban appliances will have the keys.
The Group was presented
with a plaque to commemorate the installation of the first tank and a large
promotional duplicate cheque to put on display for historic reference.
More sign writing to come
on the tanks.
The Ipswich Group and the
Brigades which form Ipswich Group are pleased with the support given by the
Local Authority.
